Srinagar: Separatist leaders, Syed Ali Geelani, Yasin Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, held a closed door meeting on Monday to discuss a joint strategy against the proposed Sainik and Pandit colonies in Kashmir.

The meeting was held at Geelani's residence in Hyderpora and lasted for one and a half hours in which the leaders called for a shutdown on Thursday.

The leaders also called for a peaceful protest on Friday against the establishment of Sainik colonies and attempts to change the demographics of the state.

Earlier, the PDP govt had officially said that there is no land in Kashmir for making exclusive colonies for Pandits.
