New Delhi: In another tragic incident, an Air Ambulance with two pilots, a medical team comprising two doctors and a male nurse crash landed in Najafgarh area of South West Delhi.
According to sources, the 7-seater Beech King aircraft had requested for an emergency landing at the Delhi airport just before crash landing at 2:45 p.m. The flight was approaching Delhi from Patna and was carrying a patient and one attendant. The plane is operated by Alchemist Air.
DGCA on being contacted said, "The aircraft landed 6.0 nautical miles short of IGI airport. Pilot reported failure of both engines. All 7 on board are safe."
Both pilots are safe and the injured have been taken to Medanta hospital as per updates from ANI.
The reason for the crash landing incident is suspected to be engine failure. The DGCA has begun its probe of the incident.
