J&K assembly: Engineer Rashid protests against Handwara killings

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir assembly witnessed a high drama on Wednesday when Engineer Rashid, Member of Legislative Assembly from Langate constituency raised the issue of Handwara killings. The Opposition leaders also protested against the PDP-BJP led govt. 

Engineer Rashid stood up amidst the proceedings to question the Handwara killings and demanded justice for those who died in the protests.

He said Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had promised that within one month, the magisterial probe will be completed but nothing has happened so far.
"This assembly dances to the tunes of Central government and Governor is an agent of Delhi", said Rashid.
Five people were killed in firing by security forces during the protests against the molestation of a girl by the Army.
