New Delhi: To mark the 2 years of NDA government in the centre, PM Modi decided to addressing a rally in Saharanpur in the state of UP.
The PM decided to pick the state of Uttar Pradesh for his rally to commmemorate the government’s two years in the country. “I belong to UP as the MP of the state,” Modi said.
While addressing the gathering in Sharanpur he said he was there to present his ‘report card’.
Here are a few of the things he addressed during the rally:
Govt is made to fulfill dreams of the citizens, I have come to give account of my work.
This country is changing, but the mindset of some people is still not changing.
We have given importance to building schools, hospitals, roads and transforming lives of the poor.
Help farmers with their 14000 crore debt. We want to ensure that our sugarcane farmers do not face any problems.
We have given soil health cards to our farmers. Give our farmers the right opportunity and see the wonders they can do.
We warn the sugar mills from holding back the payments of the farmers.
In the past two years, have you heard of any allegations of corruption against us?
Last year 3 cr families got a gas connection. And in the next 3 years, 5 cr families will get gas connection.
When I talk of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ I do that for daughters of every caste, class & religion.
The government should be accountable to the public every second, for every rupee.
UP has the maximum number of villages in darkness. Very soon, I will make sure every house has electricity.
Poverty alleviation NDA’s priority.
NDA’s endeavour to empower the States.
65% of central funds for all states instead of 35%.
Will double farm income by 2022.
Doctors retirement age will be extended from 60 to 65 under our government.
I request every private doctors to conduct a free-of-cost check-up on 9th of every month for underpriviledged expecting mothers.
Under Pradhan Mantri Yojna, we will ensure that all poor families have a bank account.
The female sex ratio is comparatively low as compared to men; we have to save our daughters and empower them to study.
Women empowerment need of the hour.
Government should work for the people, and the people should work for the betterment of the country.
Earlier in an interview to the Wall Street Journal on the eve of his second anniversary in office, PM Modi said, “I have actually undertaken the maximum reforms.”
But, he added, “I have an enormous task ahead for myself.”
“Today, unlike before, India is not standing in a corner,” he said.
Modi will visit Washington early next month where he will meet President Barack Obama and address a joint session of the US Congress.
