Mumbai: The number of deaths has gone up to 11 in the blast that occurred in a chemical factory in Dombivli (Maharashtra) on May 26.

Of the deceased in the accident there are three relatives of the owners. Bodies of the three relations — Nandu Wakatkar, Sumit Wakatkar and Sneha Wakatkar, were recovered from the debris. 

One of the relatives, Vishwas Wakatkar, was injured and is recovering in a hospital.

The Thane police have slapped charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the owners of Probace Enterprises, Dombivali.

A probe has also been ordered to ascertain whether all the relevant norms and regulations were being followed by the company.
 
Almost 159 people were injured during the explosion, and they are being treated at various hospitals. The state government has decided to foot the bill of the injured people.
