New Delhi: A week-long celebration is scheduled to take place in Ayodhya from June 10 onwards in order to mark the birth anniversary of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust chief Nritya Gopal Das. This is being done to revive the call for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
As per sources, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be a part of the celebrations. This is being planned as a big push by the BJP just before the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections.
Top BJP leaders have been invited for the birthday bash. Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma and Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik are expected to be a part of the celebrations, as per sources.
The Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas was founded as an independent trust by the VHP in 1993 to take charge of the disputed site and oversee construction of the proposed Ram temple.
