NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Pandits on Sunday held a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi demanding its rehabilitation after National Conference (NC) said that separate townships for Kashmirir Pandits will not be allowed.
The community, who gathered in a large number at Jantar Mantar, demanded that the Jammu and Kashmir government should reopen prosecution cases against all who involved in the killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley.
Many protesters wearing black t-shirts and bands shouted slogans against the separatist leaders.
“The government’s job to protect us. Whatever decision the state and centre takes, they must talk to the Kashmiri Pandits first,” adding separatists should not be allowed to interfere in any matters related to Kashmiri Pandits," said one of the protesters.
Expressing their wish, the agitated crowd said that every member of the community wants to return to their homeland and demanded that Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other separatist leaders should be arrested.
