New Delhi: Elaborating his views about the influx of African people in the country, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Wednesday said that the behaviour of Nigerians were “really annoying” and that the people were of Goa were not happy with them.

Speaking to a reporter, CM Parsekar said that the people, especially Goans, were not happy with the Nigerian nationals and that they constantly complained about them.

“We get people from all other countries, but in general, people of Goa are really annoyed with their (Nigerians) behaviour, attitude,” Parsekar said.

“On many occasions, I hear complaints against Nigerians. Let us see what comes out of this complaint,” he added.

On Tuesday, Goa Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar stirred a controversy when he said that Nigerian nationals were not just creating problems in Goa, but were also creating problems in the country.

Parsekar’s comment comes in the backdrop of a Nigerian national accused of rape in Goa and of alleged racism attacks on African nationals in the national capital.
