Sarfaraz Hussain scored 590 marks out of total 600 in the class X exam

Guwahati: After the class X exam results were announced, a right-wing backed school in Guwahati saw a Muslim boy emerge as the class X topper.

Sarfaraz Hussain, a boy with a modest background, scored 590 marks out of total 600 in the class X exams. The school which is located Betkuchi in Assam, was backed by the right-wing Sangh Parivar.

Sarfaraz is a well-known figure in school for his participation in inter-school competitions and for securing certificates.

Speaking to reporters, an elated Sarfaraz said, "I am so happy today that I don't have words to express. I would like to thank my parents and school teachers."
