New Delhi: With the Congress Party's fate dwindling after the recent state assembly elections, it is expected that Congress will look to reshuffle their working committee this week in order to gain traction before the elections.

Sources indicate that this week, a re-jig in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) might be expected to revitalise Congress's fate before the elections. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, might be handed the sole responsibility of contesting from Uttar Pradesh.

If Priyanka Gandhi assumes official responsibility of Uttar Pradesh, she will be effectively assimilated into the Congress's fold. There has been a loud chorus in Uttar Pradesh for Priyanka Gandhi to lead the campaign there.

Priyanka Gandhi's businessman-husband Robert Vadra faces charges of owning 'benami' properties in London and having a close contact with arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari.
