AAP gives it all. Here is Arvind Kejriwal’s favourite people enjoying

NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is no different than its arch rivals Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) and Congress when it comes to favouritsm.

The party came into power in national capital in February and in months of its rule in Delhi; the AAP headed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has already placed almost all its MLAs in key political posts and is set to introduce approximately 200 volunteers to support them.

The government would also spend a big amount on the maintenance of their offices and other facilities. 21 MLAs have been appointed parliamentary secretaries to the Chief Minister and six other cabinet ministers.

The AAP has 67 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly, out of which 7 legislatures including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia have been introduced in the Cabinet while two legislatures have been selected as the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the Delhi Assembly.

21 MLAs of the remaining 58 MLAs have been appointed as the parliamentary secretaries. The Delhi government has even placed three of its MLAs in the Delhi Jal Board (DJB).

Manish Sidodia is the Chairman, while the AAP MLA Kapil Mishra is the Vice-Chairman and another legislator Sanjeev Jha is the member in the DJB.

Speaker Ram Niwas Goel in the first session of the Delhi Assembly allotted 8 AAP MLAs as Presidents and Chairmen of different committees related to the Assembly.

On Goel’s directions, the Delhi Assembly Secretariat also allocated chambers to these MLAs and in addition, 11 AAP MLAs have been chosen as the leader of district development committees in each of the 11 revenue districts.

These legislators will be now looking after the expansion plans in particular districts related with the concerned officials.

With an aim to improve the municipal corporations, the six MLAa have been given three municipal corporations posts while AAP legislators SK Bagga who defeated former IPS candidate and BJP’s CM candidate Kiran Bedi is now a member of the Delhi Development Authority.

According to the sources, some AAP MLAs have been introduced in governing bodies of top hospitals.

The government also has the plan ready to get volunteers in the Delhi Dialogue Commission. 21 task forces have been formed under DDC which will be led by MLAs who will be further assisted by the helpers.

In the mean time, the social activist turned politician, Kejriwal has ordered the Principal Secretary to communicate with all the departments to put a blanket ban on the demand of free passes by AAP MLAs and ministers of high-profile events in the city.

46-year-old anti-corruption giant further ordered that if someone is requesting for free passes then the department head should inform the Chief Minister’s office regarding the same.
