AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh has slammed Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) for the celebrations in his tweet.
However, Venugopal Chary, Special Representative of the Government of Telangana, while speaking to NewsX mentioned that farmers are provided Rs 17000 crores subsidy and that's why people are getting involved in the celebrations.
Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) is all set for massive celebrations marking the second anniversary of its formation. Thursday’s celebrations will begin with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao paying tributes at Telangana Matyrs Memorial at Gun Park at 9.45 am. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao will join in the celebrations at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad, according to IANS report.
Several cultural programmes have been lined up across the state. The state government has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for each of the 10 districts to hold celebrations between June 2 and June 7.
Telangana came into existence on June 2, 2014, under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act of parliament.
