The teacher falls while demonstrating safety exercises to students

New Delhi: A teacher was seriously injured after she fell off from the fourth floor of a school building during a mock drill on Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad.

The school was conducting drills on how to escape from the building in case of an emergency.

The shocking incident took place when Shraddha Sharma, a primary teacher in RRK School located at Ashiyana area, fell off while demonstrating safety exercises to students.

A video shows the teacher was being lowered from the fourth floor of the school building using with a rope tied to her shoulders.

The teacher is then slowly lowered down to the platform on a carpet sliding towards the ground. Suddenly, when she loses her balance off the carpet, the teachers slips off the rope and falls on the ground.

The teacher has been admitted to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.

Moradabad DM has directed ADM (II) to enquire into the incident.
