New Delhi: Union Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Thursday clarified that he has no relations with the arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and these are mere speculations.
"It is my job to see there is nothing clandestine going on," Raju told NewsX. Raju also said that he is open to any kind of investigation.
After Congress President Sonia Gandhi publicly defended her son-in-law Robert Vadra in his alleged connection with arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari, authorities had on Wednesday revealed that Sanjay Bhandari has admitted to receiving emails from Robert Vadra.
According to NDTV report, Sanjay Bhandari, the defence dealer is being investigated for allegedly buying a 'benami' mansion for Robert Vadra in London and Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's top aide Appa Rao, exchanged over 355 phone calls over the last one year. These revelations are as per the documents collected in raids last month on Bhandari.
An Intelligence Bureau (IB) report of 2011 reportedly claims that arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari was in regular touch with Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra.
