New Delhi: Giving rise to controversy again, Minister of External Affairs General VK Singh penned a post on Facebook where he has called Akbar, the Mughal emperor a ‘mass murderer’. He also compared the Mughals to the British.

The General added that if the Mughals were being honoured and highlighted then why not the British as they both followed similar principles. In the same post the minister praised Maharana Pratap the Rajput leader and termed him a freedom fighter. Singh said that the Rajput king fought off invasions and safeguarded his community from invaders.

The minister also mentioned how these days if one speaks in favour of the Hindu community, a ‘group’ terms you as anti-minority.
