New Delhi: Veteran actor Hema Malini faced a huge furore after she tweeted out pictures of her film shooting from Mumbai post the Mathura eviction riots. Now the actress has again took to the micro-blogging website on Saturday, targeting the media for 'diverting the attention from the main issue' — the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

The actress ‘over flooded’ Twitter with a series of tweets saying, “In Mathura, & condoled with the bereaved families. I still can't understand how the great media thinks the sansad is responsible for law & order. They seem to be diverting attention from the main issue -that law & order is purely the state govt's responsibility. Why target me? I'm doing my job”

Adding to that, the BJP MP expressed her grief on twitter by posting pictures where she met the family of detained SP Mukul Dwivedi

Hema Malini also posted her pictures meeting the injured police personnel at Niyati Hospital

The 67-year-old actress claimed that she was dedicating so much time to Mathura that sometimes she sees her family and her house after many days

The actress targeted media as well as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav-led government saying that,

Rubbishing the allegations on her, the actress said that, “A sansad's duty is not to head the police force or quell rebels or evict encroachers. Development is my line of duty & I'm sincere in my job”

She also invited all those who were casting aspersions on her to visit Mathura themselves and review the situation.
