New Delhi: IS (Islamic State) is known for releasing its terror-related and brutal videos intermittently. This time around, Mohammed Sajid alias Bada Sajid, a key accused in the Ahmedabad serial blast case was seen in a video released by the outfit.
The video is trying to propagate its agenda to recruit Indian Muslim youths to jihad as a 'befitting' response to avenge the killings of Muslims in the post-Godhra riots of Gujarat and at Muzaffarnagar in UP.
The terror outfit, IS, under its former name Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isis), was formed in April 2013, growing out of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). It has since been disavowed by al-Qaeda. However, it is now believed to be one of the main jihadist groups fighting government forces in Syria and Iraq.
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad has reportedly taken some tough measures following the release of the video.  The ATS is trying to trace details about Abu Rashid, who figures alongside Bada Sajid in the video, brandishing Kalashnikov rifles and waving the IS flags.
ATS sources said Bada Sajid was a key conspirator in the Ahmedabad serial blasts case, along with Atif Amin and Chota Sajid. However, Atif Amin was reportedly killed in a police encounter at Batla House in Delhi soon after the Ahmedabad serial blasts.
