New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will now take the help of Scotland Yard to establish if rationalists Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare and MM Kalburgi were all killed by one group.

It is important to note that CBI was earlier only assigned the Dabholkar case. However, the country’s top investigation agency will now take up the other two cases as well, once the common link is established in the three murders.

Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansare were murdered in Maharashtra while Kalburgi was killed in Karnataka. Used shells of 7.65 mm calibre firearm were recovered from two of the three murder locations.

Sanatan Sanstha, an Hindu extremist organisation has emerged as the prime suspect in all three cases.
