New Delhi: The family of Superintendent of Police Mukul Dwivedi has demanded a CBI probe in the Mathura violence incident.
SP Mukul Dwivedi was killed in action during the clash between encroachers and police at Jawahar Bagh in Mathura on Thursday.
Without taking any name Archana Dwivedi, wife of the deceased SP, mentioned that her husband was made a 'scapegoat' and so has demanded a CBI probe to be initiated in the matter.
She also questioned that when para-military forces, trained to deal with such kind of violence, were present in Mathura then why were newly recruited officials sent to manage a guerrilla war.
Praful Dwivedi, younger brother of the deceased SP, added that the truth will not come out if any state level agency handles the case. The case must be handed over to the CBI in order to bring the culprits to book.
