Fire in dumpyard in Kolkata

Kolkata: A massive fire broke in Kolkata's Belgharia dumpyard on Sunday which affected at least 5000 lives around the dumpyard. The dumpyard covers around 5 acres of land that accommodates the dump of six municipalities.
The residents in the nearby area have registered a complaint with pollution control board as the smoke in the dumpyard is increasing and choking the residents.
Earlier in Mumbai a similar incident took place when smog engulfed the entire city due to fire at the Deonar dumping ground.
The fire in the dumping continued for 4 to 5 days before it was finally extinguished.
