Bihar: A trader was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Hajipur, Bihar on Monday evening.
Police reached the spot within few hours of the incident, but the culprits are still absconding.
This is one of the several murders in Bihar in a month.
On May 14, Rajdev Ranjan, a senior journalist at a Hindi daily, was gunned down by unidentified assailants after he abruptly left his office. The assailants were riding a motorcycle when they shot down Ranjan with a 9mm pistol.
On May 25, Sudesh Paswan and his brother Sunil Paswan, were killed in broad daylight near Tola Dubat in Gaya, about 100 km from Gaya while they were campaigning for panchayat polls.
