New Delhi: In a major cause of embarrasment to the Congress party, former Goa Chief Minister Ravi Nayak has addressed Africans using the word 'negroes'. The senior Congress leader has also demanded a ban on people from Nigeria entering the country.
Recently, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had sent envoys to the African community following the death of a Congolese national in Delhi, to assure safety of people from African nations.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had also taken to Twitter and sent out messages to assuage feelings to address the concerns of the heads of missions of Africa regarding growing violence against African nationals in India.
"They create problems everywhere... We do not want Nigerian tourists," Naik said demanding a probe into the activities of Nigerians in Goa, who he alleged masquerade as students.
