Roorkee: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Sadhvi Prachi is at it again. Sparking yet another controversy, the saffron leader on Tuesday said it was time to make India ‘Muslim-free’.

Claiming India had ‘successfully achieved’ the Congress-free mission, it was time to get rid of Muslims in the country, and that she was “working on it”.

“Now that we have achieved the mission of making a Congress-free India, it is time to make India Muslim-free. We are working on that,” said Sadhvi in Roorkee. Notably, at least 32 people were injured only last week in a communal clash over forcible evacuation of a scrap dealer’s shop.

This, however, is not the first time Sadhvi has made headlines for her notorious statements.

She had launched a scathing attack on Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan last year calling him a Pakistani agent and that “he should move there”. Her statement came in the wake of SRK’s intolerance statements.

She had also claimed that there were “terrorists hiding in the Parliament” in remarks that appeared to be targeting lawmakers who opposed the execution of 1993 blasts convict Yakub Memon.

“They are trapping our daughters through ‘love jihad’. These people who give birth to 35-40... are spreading love jihad... They are trying to make Hindustan into Darul Islam,” was another quote that was aimed at stirring up a massive controversy.
