New Delhi: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) had to ward off a threatening situation on Thursday when a group of Naxals attacked the operating base in Kondagaon, Chattisgarh.

More than 600 rounds of ammunition were fired between both the sides, drowning the early morning din with the sound of rapid gun fire. No casualties have been reported yet.

After the ITBP retaliated at the Naxals, the latter fled from the base. Also, 4 rocket launchers were fired by the Naxals.
