Indrani Mukerjea’s driver’s application adjourned till June 20

New Delhi: In the latest development to the Sheena Bora murder case, the application of Indrani Mukerjea’s driver Shyamvar Rai seeking confession statement was on Thursday adjourned till June 20. Shyamvar Rai is also one of the main accused in the high-profile murder case.

Earlier on Monday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) backed Shyamvar Rai, the driver of Indrani Mukerjea's decision to turn into an approver.

The CBI announced that they wanted to make Shyamvar Rai the main witness to nail Indrani and Peter Mukerjea.

Rai, also an accused in the case of abetting the killing of Sheena Bora, had said that he wanted to become an approver and divulge information on how Sheena Bora’s murder was carried out.

Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar were arrested in August last year for murder of Indrani’s daughter Sheena Bora. Media tycoon Peter Mukerjea was arrested in November on charges of murder, abduction and destruction of evidence.
