New Delhi: The BJP-AAP war took an ugly turn as high drama unfolded in the Delhi Assembly on Friday when Vijendra Gupta, MLA of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), stood upon his table to raise his voice against AAP.
Gupta climbed upon his table in order to raise his concerns. He said he was raising objections on some of the very serious issues of the country and demanding a CBI probe. BJP alleges that the spokesperson was biased towards AAP and hence the minister had to stand on the table to raise the issues which are being muzzled by AAP.
In response to this, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal lost his temper and slammed BJP for insulting the Assembly. The AAP has dubbed the incident shameful and asked BJP to fight for its own act now.
The spokesperson of the Delhi Assembly slammed the BJP MLA saying “this is an insult to the tradition of the assembly”.
The BJP members were raising important issues in the assembly such as water scam and the AAP leaders were seen laughing at the situation after which Vijendra stood on his table.
Earlier this week, another BJP legislator OP Sharma made derogatory remarks against AAP's Alka Lamba in the Assembly. Sharma was suspended for two sessions from the Delhi Assembly.
