New Delhi: Reacting to the Hindu exodus controversy in Kairana, Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi on Monday said that there will be a time when everyone will wish to leave Uttar Pradesh.
The minister said that there is neither development nor safety in the state.
“There will be a time when everyone will wish to leave Uttar Pradesh. There is neither development nor safety in the state,” Maneka Gandhi said.
The BJP MP Hukum Singh had alleged that 346 Hindu families had left their homes in Kairana over threat over exortortion by people from a particular community. The state administration formed four groups on Sunday to look into the allegations made by the BJP MLA.
The NHRC has sent a notice to the Akhilesh Yadav government to probe into the matter.
However, the Samajwadi party govt has said that there is no threat to the Hindus living in Kairana.
