New Delhi: In a recent encounter between CRPF jawans and terrorists, one terrorist was gunned down and three CRPF jawans were injured when the terrorists opened fire on the jawans in an SRTC bus in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The gunfight took place on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway after the forces laid an ambush at Kud town following intelligence inputs that some militants were travelling in a bus on the national highway.
The bus was stopped near Kud town and the "militants fired at the security forces and in an exchange of fire one militant was killed, also three CRPF men were injured" a security official said.
As per current reports, one civilian died and two were injured when they were caught in the firing between the terrorists and the jawans.
Three CRPF jawans were injured in the exchange of fire, but they managed to bring down one terrorist and kill him.

Earlier on June 12, a group of militants attacked a police party at Bonigam Qazigund in J&K's Kulgam district on Sunday. Four policemen were injured. Of the four, two are in a critical state.
