Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati on Tuesday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the alleged mass migration of Hindus from Kairana town in Shamli district. She alleged that the party raked up Kairana exodus issue for instigating communal tension.
The BSP supremo, Mayawati said, “Kairana incident was raked by the BJP as a part of conspiracy to divert people’s attention from its defeat in RS and Council polls in UP and to gain political mileage.”

She even added, “It seems that BJP wanted to instigate communal tension in Western Uttar Pradesh to gain political mileage but it failed miserably as the media has debunked the myth of Kairana exodus."
Earlier on June 12, there were reports that a large number of Hindu families from the small town of Kairana in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh have been migrating out of their homes to safer locations.
Alleging that there have been attacks on Hindu families living in the vicinity, most of the properties owned by Hindus have been deserted and the town is devoid of any dwellers.
