Patna: In a tragic incident, an IED blast carried out by Naxals on Sunday, June 19 in the jungles of Aurangabad district of Bihar resulted in the death of one CRPF commando and injured two.

As per the officials, the incident occurred when commandos of CRPF’s elite 205th CoBRA unit were on an anti-Naxal operation in Ganjoi Pahar area of the district in Bihar.

Sources reported that a trooper of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) has been killed while two others have been badly injured.

An official said that there was a brief exchange of gunfire between Naxals and security forces due to which the Maoist squad fled from the scene.

The injured officials were rushed to the nearby hospital.
