Separatists invited for ‘Iftar’, Pakistan High Commissioner, Abdul Basit, All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, iftar, Abdul Gani Bhat, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi: Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit on Tuesday invited All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for an Iftar party on June 25.
The invitation was given to the Kashmiri separatist leader after the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in her annual meeting had stressed against talks with any third party interventions.
Experts see this as another provocation by Pakistan. This is done by Pakistan every year so that they keep the issue of separatists alive in the Valley.
The Pakistan High Commission has not only invited Mirwaiz Umar Farooq but the entire Huriyat leadership including Abdul Gani Bhat and Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Which clearly shows the duplicity by Pakistan and once again Pakistan has played the separatist card despite strict warnings from India.
After such incidents, Pakistan claims that India is not serious in coming to the talking tables.
