New Delhi: Former Deputy Superintendent of Police Anupama Shenoy who commanded national headlines after she was abruptly transferred for putting on hold a minister's call has written a letter professing harassment from Superintendent of Police and other netas.
In a letter which was dated June 4, Anupama Shenoy alleged that Superindentent of Police R. Chetan harassed her while she was on duty as Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The letter, which was addressed to the chairperson of the National Commission for Women, accuses Bellary SP and other netas of harassment. However, the NCW said in response to Shenoy's letter that, according to the criteria, they accept complaints when it has been registered personally by the complainant.
Shenoy's 7-page letter started doing rounds on social media sites where it was widely circulated.
The officer who was celebrated widely for taking on the liquor mafia said that the SP gave in to constant pressures from politicians and forwarded all her sick leaves for medical viability. In the letter, she mentioned all these reasons for tendering her resignation.
