New Delhi: Problems mounted for Delhi-ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after an FIR was lodged against party MLA Dinesh Mohaniya after locals alleged that the Mohaniya along with his supporters roughed them and misbehaved with a woman.
The woman alleged that the MLA pushed her and other women. A case of outraging the modesty of women, along with criminal intimidation has been registered against the legislator, DCP Ishwar Singh confirmed.
Singh said that the FIR has been filed at Neb Sarai police station against the MLA who is also the vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board for using foul words and actions intending to outrage the modesty of a woman, causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
As per reports, the incident took place when some residents of Sangam Vihar in South Delhi visited Mohaniya’s office-cum-residence on Wednesday, June 22, to complain about irregular water supply and were later met with abuses by the MLA and his supporters.
