Kolkata: An appalling incident was reported from Kolkata where an employee of a privately-owned enterprise tried to take pictures of a girl while she was using the trial room.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night of June 22 when a girl hailing from Sonarpur visited the a mall in Highland Park, South Kolkata to shop from a Big Bazaar store where the accused employee tried to take her pictures with a spy cam when she was using the trial room. Following the discovery, the girl lodged a complaint with Survey Park police station.
As per reports, the woman alleged that an employee of the store was operating a spy camera from a pinhole when she was trying out clothes in the store’s trial room.
However, Big Bazaar has denied allegations levelled by the girl and said that there was no camera inside the trial room.
Speaking on the matter, the store manager said, “We have a zero tolerance policy for such issues in the organisation. The person was not our staff but an outsourced staff of the housekeeping agency.
He further said, “We have already fired him and initiated a case with police; we have started investigation on the housekeeping agency also and intend to fire them as well.”
