Chennai: The killer of the young woman who was hacked to death at Nungambakkam railway station in Chennai on Friday morning is expected to be caught soon. The CCTV footage showing the killer carying a sickle has been recovered from the station.
Police have released the sketch and made a request to the public to call 1512,if there is any information about this suspect.
In another shocking incident, a young woman was hacked to death at Nungambakkam railway station in Chennai on Friday morning.
As per police reports, the name of the victim is S Swathi who worked with the IT major Infosys. Swathi was a resident of South Gangai Amman Koil Street, Choolaimedu an area adjacent to the Nugambakkam railway station.
As per some sources, the incident took place around 6:30 when Swathi was waiting to board a train for work. In the platform she was approached by a young man and after a few minutes of heated arguments the man hit her with a sickle.

On this saddening incident, Infosys issued the following statement,”We are saddened by the unfortunate incident that has led to the demise of our employee in Chennai”.
Earlier on June 21, a similar incident occured in Karnataka where a man was allegedly beaten up and stabbed brutally by three men, after getting into an argument. A case was registered against the three people and cops are investigating the matter in order to nab the culprits.
