New Delhi: Defence minister Manohar Parrikar, on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack in Pampore and called it an act of desperation.
Addressing a press conference, Parrikar said that after becoming Defence Minister he had told jawans to retaliate in case of a terrorist attack.
“We seek peace but from the position of “strength” and not from the position of “weakness”, added the Defence Minister.
Parrikar also hailed the NDA govt for bringing down the percentage of imports. “When our Govt came to power, import was 70%, now import has come down to below 60%. I can assure that by the time this govt ends its first term, we will be able to bring down our imports to 40%, said Parrikar.
Speaking about One Rank One Pension scheme, Parrikar said “Few things are yet to be resolved, Government is committed towards resolving those issues at the earliest”
Parrikar further said that in recent months he had received over 2000 pension related complaints and was able to resolve almost all of them.
