Mysore Palace witnesses royal wedding

New Delhi: Mysore turned into the centre of attraction on Monday at the royal wedding of Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar and Trishika Kumari Singh.
Belonging to the Durgapur family in Rajasthan, Trishika Kumari Singh is the daughter of Harshvardhan Singh and Maheshri Kumar.
The Wadiyar family scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, 24, was adopted by Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, widow of Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar, as they had no children. However, the engagement of Yaduveer with Trishika took place much before the adoption.
The Kalyana Mantapa in the iconic and gigantic Amba Vilas Palace was all decked up and glittering with lights and chandeliers, adding to the royalty of the wedding.
The marriage ceremonies were witnessed by around 1,000 guests including top political brass such as Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and his cabinet colleagues. Royal families from across the country attended the wedding too.
Two wedding receptions are to be held on June 28 and July 2 in Mysuru and Bengaluru respectively.
