New Delhi: DMK leader MK Stalin on Monday visited the house of software engineer S Swathi, who was murdered on Friday at Nungambakkam Railway Station in Chennai.
The Opposition leader paid condolences to the family members of the victim and urged the state government to take immediate action against the culprit.
Expressing his concern over the lack of progress in the case, Stalin said that government is not doing enough for the security of women.
“The Government is not doing enough for women’s safety; women feel unsafe even when they are at home.” Stalin said. He also urged the state government to take immediate action and ensure that such crimes become a thing of the past.
