Hyderabad: In a tragic incident in Hyderabad on Saturday evening, June 25, a man lost his life after he fell into a pothole while returning from work.
The incident took place on Saturday night around 9 pm in Hyderabad’s Madhapur area. The victim has been identified as Moti Yadav, 24, who hails from Chattisgarh and was working in a hotel. He was returning home from work when he fell into the pothole and lost his life.
According to reports, the shocking part was that there were electricity cables lying on the pothole and people who were surrounding the victim called up the electricity board and asked them to switch them off.
The pipeline contract that was given to a contractor who had finished the work in a span of two years but the pothole wasn’t prepared and was covered with loose mud. The victim who was returning from work missed the unprepared area in front of him and fell into the pothole.
According to the police, it was a case of accident. However, the opposition party and people have been saying that it was a clear case of negligence of the authorities. The police said that they will question the contractor.
