New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Kapil Mishra, who had earlier asked for a copy of the FIR registered in the Rs 400-crore water tanker scam, protested outside the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) office in New Delhi on Monday.
Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not taking any kind of action against former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, the AAP member said that he had submitted a 125-page report for which there had been no response.
The Delhi water tanker scam was connected by the ACB both with the former CM Sheila Dikshit and the incumbent Arvind Kejriwal government.
While Mishra had filed a complaint with Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Dikshit in the scam, Kejriwal's name was included, on the complaint of Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Vijender Gupta, "for causing delay and not cancelling the contract for water tankers".
Jung had cleared a probe against Dikshit in the alleged Rs.400 crore water tanker scam on June 16.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in June 2015 set up a five-member fact-finding committee to probe the alleged irregularities in hiring 385 stainless steel water tankers by the Delhi Jal Board in 2012 during Dikshit's rule.
