Mathura: In a tragic incident reported from Mathura, Brijendra Vallabh Goswami, priest of famous Radha Vallabh Temple, was injured after he fell from a 20-foot high building when monkeys attacked him.

The priest was severely injured after he fell off the roof of a three-storey building when a troop of monkey attacked him in Radha Vallabh Ghera area.

The priest's nephew, Yadvendra Vallabh Goswami, said a monkey entered the house and escaped with his spectacles. In a bid to get his pair of glasses back, the priest followed the monkey to the roof where the troop of monkeys attacked him.

The priest fell off the roof and received injuries on his head, legs and arms. Later, he was taken to a hospital from where he was referred to Agra as his condition was stated to be serious.

Blaming the municipal corporation, the victim's family said that they have failed to control the monkey menace.
