New Delhi: Marathon boy Budhia Singh, a student of class IX, went missing from Sports authority of India (SAI) hostel in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.

Budhia was studying in Class IX in the city’s DAV English Medium School and had to return to the SAI hostel at the end of his summer vacation last month.

Rupanita Panda, Budhia’s coach, said that she had sent two letters last month to Budhia’s mother who stays in a slum area of Bhubaneswar. She claimed that there was no response about his whereabouts.

Budhia Singh had a record of running a marathon and successfully covering 65 kms between Puri and Bhubaneshwar at the age of 4.

The marathon boy was admitted to the SAI hostel in September 2007.
