New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be raising the Zakir Naik issue in the upcoming Parliament session. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya on Friday expressed serious concerns over the entire issue.

Zakir Naik featured in a controversy after Bangladesh claimed that the terrorists, who carried out attacks in Dhaka’s popular cafe, killing 20 people, were influenced by some of his speeches.

The channel Peace TV that featured Zakir Naik's programs had been going on for years without any licence and was being aired though Dubai. Home Minister Rajnath Singh told media that he has taken cognizance of the entire matter.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also ordered a probe against Zakir Naik.

MoS Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told NewsX that certain people who have unknowingly went for his programs should come out and apologise rather than passing the buck to other and blaming them for doing the same.

Zakir Naik and his channel Peace TV are banned in several countries.
