New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday made its first arrest in the money laundering probe against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. The ED went ahead and arrested LIC agent Anand Chauhan.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) started the probe and then further basing it as the predicate, the ED registered a money laundering case after which the entire saga of alleged corruption against sitting Himachal Pradesh CM started.
Though the CBI was probing the case they did not arrest any individual. The probe is still on.
Back in November 2015, the ED registered a case under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against Singh and his family members.
