New Delhi: Amid tension and curfew situation in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) post Hizbul commander Burhan Wani's encounter, Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, “I appeal to all media agencies across the country to exercise restraint while reporting on killing of terrorists, one should not create sympathy for terrorism. Terrorist is a terrorist, is an anti-national.”

Earlier in the day, Venkaiah Naidu welcomed statements of GN Azad and Salman Khurshid on Burhan Wani and said their tweets were an indication of corrective stand on terror and its consequences.
No Indian can have sympathy for terrorists, Singhvi (Abhishek Manu) tweeted this as well, said Venkaiah Naidu.
At least six more people died in unending demonstrations against the killing of a top militant leader Burhan Wani, taking the death toll to 23 in two days in curfew-bound Kashmir Valley.
