Hyderabad: An ongoing practice of child labour in one of the sweet making factory in Hyderabad was put to rest after a joint team of Hyderabad's Police and Child Rights Commission team raided the shop and rescued around 47 child labourers from a sweet-making factory.
As per reports, the children belonged to poor families and have been working to support their families.

Disclosing the details of the matter CID inspector Chandra Mouli said the child workers were rescued from the Industrial Development area in Mailardevpally, where the children were employed with Jaya Foods. The team of rescuers found them to be working under very hazardous conditions.
The police further added that case has been registered against the factory owner and the premises have been sealed for further investigation.
