New Delhi: Amrita Rai, a journalist by profession and wife of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, on Wednesday gave up her rights on his ancestral and self-earned property for Singh’s son Jaivardhan Singh.
The Congress general secretary and former Madhya Pradesh CM tweeted the information early on Wednesday and lauded his wife for standing true to her words. He said, “My wife Amrita Rai has foregone her rights on the ancestral and self-earned property in favour of my son Jaivardhan.” (Translated)

मेरी पत्नि अमृता राय ने मेरी पारिवारिक और अर्जित सम्पत्ति में अपना सम्पूर्ण अधिकार मेरे पुत्र जयवर्धन के हक़ में त्याग दिया। जो कहा सो किया!

Amrita had, after marrying the Congress leader, announced that she desired none of his property or belongings.
Amrita Rai and Digvijaya Singh had confirmed their relationship in April 2014. The couple later tied the knot in August 2015.
