New Delhi: In a totally unexpected move, the Congress party on Thursday announced Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as their CM face for the forthcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Dikshit said, “UP is a big state, it will be a challenge. Accepting challenge is a good thing, and we accept it.”
 
Emphasising the role given to her by the party, Sheila Dikshit said, “People of UP should not tolerate anymore. The state should be number one.”
 
Dikshit also hinted at Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Gandhi’s role in the upcoming elections and said, Priyanka ji is popular amongst people and our workers. We want her to contribute here.”
 
Reacting on the announcement of the UP CM face by Congress, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said,  “How does it make a difference? People will assess everything and decide.”
