New Delhi: In an attempt to pass the much awaited Goods and Service tax (GST) bill in the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Parliament, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday met Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The government is reaching out to the Congress which seems to be isolated at the moment in the Upper House of the Parliament as far as the consensus on the bill is concerned.
The GST bill, deemed as one of the most important bill, has been stuck for a long time. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government is positive about the passage of the bill in the upcoming session of the Parliament.
