Bulandshahr: A shocking incident came to light when a teenager hailing from Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh attempted suicide after being sexually harassed by a Delhi Police constable.

As per sources, the girl from Bulandshahr identified as Sangeeta tried to kill herself by consuming poison after a constable from Delhi Police sexually harassed her.

The accused was later identified as Manjit (28), a constable with Delhi Police and a resident of Sirodhan village, Ghaziabad. As per the FIR registered, Manjit threatened to implicate the victim's younger brother in a false case if she told anyone about the incident, following which the teenager from Bulandshahr took the extreme step of attempting to commit suicide.

Ram Mohan Singh, SP, disclosing the matter said Sangeeta's condition is now stable and Majit has been booked under 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage her modesty).

However, the accused Manjit is still on the run.
